Prints have arrived

\

I have uploaded a series of prints that I have made. Here is one of them, the rest can be found on the prints page (click the link at the top of the page). Most are done at Studio 889 (studio889.org) in Hunts Point, Bronx, NY. Alejandra Delfin has introduced me to the Solar Plate printing technique, which is quite amazing, since it is much less work intensive than, say drypoint, or acid etching.

Here is a fragment of the print, which was basically a phototransfer of a network of vessels of a picture that that I took with a microscope in a mouse mammary gland. The colors are painted on acrylics. The photograph was printed on a standard laserjet printer prior to the transfer. So that is the reason that there is a half-tone pattern on it.

Wood panel

My dad, as part of his new project purchased about 60 wood panels to be worked on. Since he is a big fan of my work, often confiscating some pieces so I don’t sell or give them away, he is also a supplier of free, high quality raw materials for me as well. So he gave me two large (27×36) wood boards to work on. Here is a result of one of them.

Slowly coming back

I have uploaded several paintings that I completed in 2006-2007 ( and now consider finished). So the paintings section will slowly start to fill in. I am in planning stages of how to display the prints that I am currently involved in making.
